Breakthroughs for Life

”Breakthroughs for life” describes (in English) the work behind the successful fundraising campaign at Karolinska Institutet, which was carried out between 2005 and 2010 and brought in 1 billion Swedish kronor. Harriet Wallberg was Vice Chancellor of the University and initiator of the campaign, which at the time was consider unique for a Swedish university. The book gives advise how to organize a successful fundraising campaign for major donations.

 

The book is written in English by Kristina Appelqvist, who is an author, journalist, and communicator with many years’ experiences from the academic world.

Kristina Appelqvist

Kristina Appelqvist is an author, journalist, and communicator with many years’ experiences from the academic world. She has been Head of communications at Skövde Universitet and consultant in communications with several commissions from different universities in Sweden. In addition, she has been speech writer for three Vice Chancellors at Karolinska Institutet.
